New chat with video is up and running...

The new chat system is up and running here

About 1 in 8 or so were having problems entering the old chat system, and our most requested feature since we opened this new site was for video chat, hence the new chat system.

It has full audio and video capabilities so now you can hear and see the wonderful folks you have been chatting with in text mode for so long. But it also has good ole text chat too, just like the old system.

The audio/video portion of the new chat may require you to adjust some of your security/firewall/pop-up settings. The details are on the new chat page If you can't get the video or audio portion of the chat to work, then I welcome you to post in this thread - I, and other members who are good with computers, can try to help you. But please understand that this is a FREE site, and there is much about personal computers that I don't know - so my ability to help you may be limited by my time, expertice (or lack thereof), and the fact that I cannot actually physically be there at your computer to help.

I also welcome those of you who are able to successfully video chat, and those of you who know personal computers well, to share your successes and tips - it would be much appreciated by your fellow Bisexual.com members I am sure.

And lastly, if you are running into any bugs with the new chat, you can post them here, and I will try to work them out with the new chat service provider.

I successfuly video chatted with several of you tonight - it was a blast! The only thing is to make sure that you browser allows pop-ups, and that if your username has spaces in it, to change your chat name once you enter the chat. The new chat seems to me to work very well; knock-on-wood.

The new chat seems to work like a dream, so I removed the link the old chat just now, to get everyone into the same chat room.

The new chat died last night for some reason, and I don't think the company I license that software from works on weekends as my email requests for help have gone unanswerred for now. So the old chat is back up and running.
