Nothing unusual about it at all. I don't think it's unusual and I believe that it's because once you get to sucking, your focus is on what you're doing to him, which is arousing you but not enough to keep you hard or stop you from going from hard to semi-hard to completely soft. I think some of that also has to do with one's body position while doing the deed that might restrict blood flow to one's dick.
And then, just when you think you've ID'd the issue, you go to blow a guy, and your hardness is very apparent and not of a mind to go anywhere!
