Anyone have an IPad or IPhone to test the non-Flash chat?

Attachment 12525We have a beta version of the chatrooms for those of you who do not have Flash (IPads and IPhones). I have neither device so I can't test the pages myself. So I am looking for a tester or two or however many.

When you go to either of these two links below using an IPad or IPhone it should detect your device and load up the non-Flash chat (HTML5 and Javascript). It is very similar to the existing chat, just a slightly different appearance. And to be clear, it accesses the same chatrooms - so you are chatting with all the same bisexual.com users, just through a different interface.

URL1, Regular sized version: http://www.bisexual.com/forum/123flashchat.php (regular site header and footer, including navigation menu)

URL2, Fullscreen version: http://www.bisexual.com/forum/123flashchatfs.php (no header and footer and therefore no navigation menu)

You probably need to log into the site first, from the main page: http://www.bisexual.com otherwise it won't allow you into the chat.

If you are NOT using an IPad or Iphone please don't visit those urls and tell me everything looks fine for you, because you will still see the same old chat interface (because an IPad or IPhone won't be detected.) :)

IPad and IPhone users only, let me know if the links work and the interface works for you and looks okay.

Links work and the tabbed view to organize rooms and private chat is vastly superior to the pop up windows in the flash version. Thanks

Yes it does work nicely just get use to what is we're to work it with out goofing up.

We will update the links on the Navigation Menu to those ones very shortly. But in the meantime, if you want the iPad/iPhone chat, use this thread and the links above.

I tried this on an iPhone 4, using chrome.
In the full screen cersin - The font looks awfully small, and there is a huge blank space at the bottom, so I hade to scroll to find the text entry window. I did see posts com in and was able to reply. I like it, but it seems the wrong size for the phone. If there was a way to let the chat tool find it's own width instead of for ing a width, I think it would scale to the phone better.

I also tried the non-full screen view. It seems to have hung up and I couldn't get full screen to work well after that.

I'll try safari next.

Retest with safari on iPhone 4.
Standard and full screen seem ok, but small font again makes it hard to use.
Big issue on both, when I tap the user name, I don't get the little popup menu allowing me to send a PM or in this case, respond privately.
