This site does not delete accounts. If they did there would be a true member accounting. Most site like this NEVER purge their member list. Who would join a site with few members?

The account can be deleted...
What happened to the original Pasadenacpl?
What happened to FalconAngel?
It is my hope... the people/person in power can execute the same command to delete someone who requests it.
jkaon, ask Drew to 'kill' you.
After you send the pm to Drew, change your password to random typing that you keep no record of.
Hopefully Drew or authorized others will invoke the almighty killing command that wipes your entity from the site/board/bbs.
Seek confirmation of this process first from those in power, then coordinate it's execution.

My account was not deleted. The posts are still there, as is the account. I was prevented from anyone else seeing anything I posted after the day Drew(?) put it on universal ignore.

We have to realise and accept that no account is 100% safe.. not your bank, not your msn or yahoo.. certainly not your account on this site.. I do think we should be able to close our accounts but most sites such as this do not have that facility.. which I think is a bit of a liberty and an infringement on my rights. However as one who has had at least one internet account hacked into, any who wishes to leave, and are concerned about anything their account may contain, should at the very least clear out every single piece of information from it which might be useful to another or embarrassing to the account holder..or anyone else.. write to Drew and try and get him to close it..it obviously can be done.. but I think owners of sites such as this should provide a resignation facility.. I believe they have a responsibility to those who have signed on to provide it.. if I wish to resign from a club or organisation in the outside world I am able to do so. The internet should be no different.. okey dokey Drew, darling? Would it be so hard? No?? there we are then..:)

Well, here is another perspective from my experience.

I had another account for several years but rarely visited and never posted. One day, something happened to my computer and I was not able to simply log on. I had to re enter my site name and password. I'd forgotten the password and what email address that was connected to the user name. I tried a few times to get on to the site. Eventually, I created this account.

Several months later I received a message stating that my (former) account was not being used. I was told that it would be placed in an inactive section if I didn't come back on the site. I had never posted in the forum and so there would be no record. For the first few months, I could see my former account if I searched my geographical area but after that message it didn't show. I'm assuming that if you do not come on to this site within a period of time that this is what happens to the accounts?

I've tried to do a search to try to find my old account rather than through a geographical area member search but am not able to figure it out. I can not see a "search" mechanism for a user name.

I've also noticed a difference in approaches when Drew "kicks" people off. There was a time when the posts remained visible and then at other times the posts disappear. Some leave the text and have "banned" under the poster. If you click their profile, I don't think that it has anything in it...much?...I could be wrong though.
