There must be something in the water..as the old saying goes.
I dont ask for something for myself very often, but I'd like to now. As I was
making ready to go to the hospital yesterday for my sleep study, I get a call
from my oldest boy in Calif. They had just admitted him to the hospital for
severe breathing problems. The hosp there will keep him a few days since theyreally dont know whats causing him to be short of breath. They are telling him(at first glance)that it looks like his Broncuial tubes have/are inflamed or infected. They cant tell more until tomorrow. All I know is they have him hookedup to IV's left and right at the moment.
If ya'll could say a quick prayer or have healing thoughts for Micheal(yes its
spelled correctly) I would deeply appreciate it.

My sleep tests went really bad and I got like Maybe 2 hours of napping. But
thats another story in itself..:(
Thanks in advance m'loves

Sorry to hear about both your boy as well as your sleep results. I'll keep him in my thoughts, as well as a spot for you not far behind. Just keep your chin up! Where there's bad luck, there's usually some good luck not far away.

Hey there Mtn Cat. Now me thinkin that if you would have stayed up late the night before the test a studying real hard then you could have done a better job of passing that one. Just something to remember for the next time. However I am not shure if I could do any better than you did cause you were in a strange place, strange bed, all hooked up to machinery, checked up on at a regular basis. DDDDDDAAAAAAAAMMMMMMM I really don't think that anybody could spend a nite sleepin soundly thru all that, or at least I am shure that I couldin't!!!! :2cents:

I also hope that your son (Micheal) does better too! Dosen't seem like trouble comes in batches? :( So instead of takin a step forward, you take one to the side and two steps back. Well you will eventually get to take the 3 or more forward some day soon??? Thats why they call it "dancing thru life" :)

So get well soon and tell us about it later. Your friend, :doggie: ......:flag3:

Thank you Loves. The sleep study was to see if I have apnea and if my 'bad' lung would handle a C-pap machine in I needed one. I was hooked up to sensors and EKG electrodes, and I think I subconsciously couldnt relax because of being monitored with a video camera all night long. Plus a really bad day before I got there didnt help matters any. I simply could not turn my brain off. Luckily, the Tech said he didnt have to come in a hook me up to a Cpap machine because I didnt halt or pause in what little sleep I did get. :}
Big hugs to all of you who have sent well wishes to me and especially for Micheal.. to you all.

A healing prayer to your son, my sister... There seems to be bad medicine in the air... I just did a ceremony to drive out the bad spirits from my home and will do one for you and your son... I, too, did a sleep study years ago... I did not react well to the C-pap machine and did the alternate (cure?!?)... My tonsils were removed, for other reasons that had nothing to do with the sleep apnea, and my uvula... It turns out that I now don't snore and I get better rest... I was fighting for lifes breath for 15-20 seconds out of every minute which, as it turns out, isn't a good thing... I wish you all the best... :paw::paw:

Well, I talked to Micheal a minute ago, and they still have to get him out and make him walk afround the hosp. a bit to see if his lung capacity is stable enough to let him go home. If not, he'll be plopped right back in that bed.
Seems he tried to quit smoking "Cold Turkey" and it threw his lungs into some kind of shock and inflamed his broncual tubes quite badly (I guess from what I'm hearing)
Thank all of you so much for all of your love and kindness. I'll relate it all to him when he gets back home.
Biiig hugz to all of you.
