Just got back and had a wonderful time! I didn't have the pleasure of meeting up with anyone but it was great getting to people watch. I was amazed at how accepted gay/les/bi people are there. Here we all pretty much have to be in hiding unless you happen to stumble across someone as a "by chance" type of thing! :flag1:

Glad you had a wonderful time miss Calender Girl. Seeing the world, and the wonders it possesses is unlike any other experiance..you will never find it in a text book. We, as American's, as compared to many other cultures of the world are certainly far behind in accepting peoples sexual orientations. I found when I was in Europe ages ago it was so throughly progressive compared to staid ole Boston where I am from. Experience LIFE...see the world and the wonderful people it has.

Thanks all, and yes it was nice to be myself. I didn't get the side comments about "is she checking out that girl?" or anything of that nature! The friend I went with knows that I am bi but she is straight so we did keep it a bit hush around her parents (who we stayed with) since they are both Catholic (old style not new style) just to avoid any issues.

Another good thing: I applied for my passport and hopefully it doesn't take too much longer to get here! Now I'm hoping to go up North to visit my family (whom I haven't seen since I was 9) and some friends (wink wink) with in the next year or so. I also have plans of Sweden if my financial situation will ever allow since I still have family there! (I'm only a 2nd gen American) And possibly several other countries.

Well I best get cleaning, have company coming since it's the weekend of the 4th! OUI!!! lol
