Avatars

Hey gang -quick question - I've been wanting to put an Avatar of a wolf on my profile and posts. I have gone to "My Account" then to "Update Avatar" and have chosen "custom avatar" and browsed my computer to load a pic I have of a wolf that is 80X80. The site keeps telling me that my pic is "Not a Valid Image" - I've tried both TIF and BMP formats - to no avail. I need help!!! How have some of you loaded such great avatars - and why can't I?? :( Thanks for any help you can offer! :) Lonewolf.

I think the one I used was jpg format. I Could be wrong but I think Bmp maybe too big a file. They are notorious space hogs. (hey good band)

I'm pretty certain that it will only work with Jpeg files.

Some picture editors will let you change the format of a pic...Ok I just checked out the Paint in my windows XP and if you use the "save as" selection under "file" in your main toolbar it will let you change the format of the picture. look toward the bottom of the window. it will say "save as type" just click the arrow and scoll down to jpeg.

Thanks Gang! - The JPEG format seems to have done the trick - Rissa - I'm sorry ruined your day baby - Would a full body rub ease your stress? LOL :bigrin:
