I like to joke around at work a little, and since i work with engineers it a whole lot funnier.

Here is one of my stories( this actually happened)

I work for a contract engineering firm (doing mostly drafting work). We use to work on site. When the contract was renegoiated out small group had to move offsite. Whoch was a bad move, but nothing could be done about it. So they built and office and stocked with computers that they took in on trades or finished leases (unix work stations). These comptuers were so slow that the software we were using (pro-Engineer, a big memory and graphics hog) was so slow what took us 10 mintues to pull up at the contractors palce of business took over 3 hours to pull up in the new office. Now since we moved off site everybody know work was going to be less efficent, but that another story.

I had been made to move to the second shift with differancial. We were waiting for the machine to work and joking around when i made up a sign the read "In case of fire. Throw through window." we all started laughing and we got more creative. We had access to special paper ( which was ont cheap) and made the sign look really important. It was white background red lettering, black outlining. Well we (the guys on the second shift) attched them to the computers (about 20 of them). Needless to say the bosses were very happy with us. They didn't come down on us hard due to the fact the second shift got mote owrk done that the first.

Another sign we made up was red with bold black letters

And put in the on the door of the ovvice VP. He did see the humor in that one.
