More good news to share with my family

The unimaginable has happened. Last weekend while we were all sitting around the campfire I proposed to Angel and she accepted!!! I was stone cold sober but I'm still blaming it on the mead (sorry honey, just kidding). I do have to give myself props for the way I did it though. I sang her a love song (true companion) and when I got to the line "I'm asking you to be my true companion" I got down on one knee and took her hands. That's as far as I got. We haven't nailed the date down, but it's going to be July of next year. I just wish y'all weren't so damned far away, cause I'd love to invite a lot of you to the wedding.

You guys will make it, though. Any couple that can survive camping and still love each other, can make it through about anything.

We knew that we would make it when we finished up our honeymoon which included 4 days of camping at Yosemite.

I let him tell you all, alhough it was hard for me not to jump on the night we got home to let you all know. It was a wonderfully romantic proposal...* and yes baby...I know no meed was involved* and I will never forget the look on his face when he dropped to one knee...it was all I could ever have imagined it could be. I too wish you all lived closer so you could share our special day...but know you will all be there in spirit as we join our lives into one.
We have already started making plans and he tells me that he might have to rent a uhaul for all the lists...he knows me all too well....he has seen me shop at Wal Mart ...lol...says he is gonna buy a 26 foot uhaul to take on the wal mart trips....*sigh...what can I say??*
Anyway....thank you again for all the well wishes...as shameless keeps telling me....I am a very happy camper....and so is this fiance.
