I just finished reading "If Beale Street Could Talk" by James Baldwin, and it is one of the strongest, and most layered books I've ever read. Baldwin's main character and narrator is a woman, and it's amazing how beautifully the story is told as a male writer writes from the point of view of a woman.

Has anyone read this story?
