I wish there were more sites like this one. Seriously. Because there is not, I go to some gay message boards. Most are okay and the bisexual themed topics are not that bad, but theres one gay site that is just awful!

I'm so sick of biphobia! I go to another message board/forum that is 99% gay.Even though there are alot of gays there who hate me, alot who use to hate bisexuals have come around. I think they know I am a fighter for gay rights and consider the gay community my family just as much as they do. Alot have put aside differences and I have made some surprising friends.

What pisses me off is the moderators. I have had posts edited,deleted, and so on. When I have asked for reasons, I get nothing. I have sent Pm's and asked on the boards and get no reason as to why. I have been civil and kind and I don't even swear. I think when ever I make a sensible case for bisexuals that gets people to think, they edit them or remove them. I know that sounds crazy,but what else am I to think?

So, I filed a complaint with the mods. I took it up with the owners of the website. They dragged on and on about proof. I posted links and actual posts and gave several examples. Several days went by and so on. I then composed a PM asking the status. I was prepared to let them know I was not backing down. I informed them I recieved several PM's from others who have agreed with me and said they refuse to post because they are aware that the mods look the other way if there is anything negative posted about bisexuals. So, I did something that got some attention.

Over the summer I joined a porn site who advertises on this site. Last week I canceled my services and gave them the reason why I canceled. I told them the name of the site,moderator, and I can't support a site who advertises on a site that advocates discrimination against sexual orientation. I got a concerend reply back and a special offer to renew. I also told them I was encouraging others to do the same. I got a PM back today from the mods telling me they WERE gonna look into my claim(after about 2 weeks of course,thats how serious they took it) but now that I'm threatning and hurting them, they are dismissing it. I don't think they had any intentions on investigating my claim.Translation: Word got back to them and they are embarassed by one of their advertisers and they were called out by name. An unhappy member on a gay website who takes the time to cancel and compose a letter as to the reasons does hold up some.

Whats sad is, other mods on some other sites who I've shown the threads to all say they are drunk with power and very unproffesional.They feel a moderator who doesn't have to step in is a good moderator and one doing their job. On this site its like if the mods are not starting trouble, they feel useless. DRAMA QUEENS looking for drama. If its not there, they create it! One person said they act like Cops with tazer guns. They just can't help themsleves.They are drunk with power and out of control. Whats sad is, the gay related threads that can get bitchy and just nasty are all tolerated but if someone says soemthing like "Bisexuality does not exist" and I or another bisexual responds and its rather harsh, the mods give warnings and shake their fingers to be nice and will even delete posts and edit threads. God, its disgusting to see that kind of hatred. I make sure no matter how pissed I am I always remain calm. I try not to swear and I try to be civil. I find sending a poster a PM telling them I respect their opinion, but don't fall into their sterotype of bisexual usually gets a honest and riendly reply back.Things on the boards can get heated,but they never get mean spiritied or out of control. I told a guy that said Bisexuals are 99% gays not reay to come out, that his post was mean and I was disgusted by it. I got a response on the message board rom the moderator that I had better be careful and play by the rules. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and it was wrong of me to say I was disgusted. When I asked why he was allowed to give his opinion and I was not allowed to give mine,I got no response from the mods. Just more insults from the same poster who got no such warning. This is just one of numerous examples. I have sent PM's to the some of the other bisexuals on the board and asked them to file a complaint and ask questions about the bi bias. Most just don't want to get involved or be bothered by it.Anyway, if anyone is interested and wants to witness for themselves heres the site. I post under the name of Romantico.

The bisexual forum seems to be the most heavily policed section on the board. They gotta keep "Our Kind" in line I suppose.

I also go to the askmen.com message boards and they seem to have no problem with gays, but they REALLY hate us bisexuals. Bisexual women are cool and hot okay, but guys who are bosexuals are losers and scum according to their site! Thanks for listening to me rant!

Even ones here on bisexual.com like the mage that cry wolf about being "raped" and then after they've gotten the attention they need from others to feed their ego and cause drama, they admit how it was all a consensual "rape" scene and not really rape at all.

I post at the site and I wouldn't say that it's 99% gay men and the forums are a lot less biphobic than they were in years past and in the bi section they will ban people who are being assholes or who spam the phobic shit.

As far as supporting the site goes, why would you support a porn site? I don't support Drew's pet project 3pillows.com since he cares more about it and the money it generates more than this free site bisexual.com.

I've posted examples of the phobic attitudes there many times. Most people just post that shit to get a rise out of people and I just ignore it.

I've never posted on there but I read a little of it recently when you complained about the biphobia on here about it before.

I used to lurk on the LGBT section of Yahoo! Answers. I never did anything more than lurk. The biphobia on there was so frustrating. Most people were good, many people were great, some people were a little confused about what bisexuality is and would be nicer to us soon enough when they learnt and some were outright bigots that didn't seem to have any hope.

What was annoying is that people, including well-respected people who posted often on there, would answer to a question from a bisexual and/or transgendered person about men who like women or women who like men by writing things like "This is the LGBT section. You won't find any of those people here." :banghead:

The arrogance of some when replying to questions about asexuality was annoying too. "Haha, do you even know what asexuality is? Humans can't be asexual."

Wasn't sure so I thought I'd clear something up. I'm not saying I'm seeing biphobia here on this forum, I'm talking about Justusboys and Askmen.com. Askmen,isn't surprising.But JustusBoys is. Heterosexuals in my opinion are less tolerant over gays,lesbians,bisexuals, and transgendered people. I have this naieve assumption that all gay people don't discriminate against anyone over sexual discrimination.

Being cut reduces HIV transmission only in female to male sex transmission during vaginal sex, which is rare in the first world anyway so its a non issue here.
