View Full Version : What I hate the most..

I hate to be alone. Nothing, to me, is worse than being alone.

When I was a boy the only way I felt safe was to be alone and away from abusive parents and siblings. Now that I am older I fear feeling alone because it draws back all the horrible things I felt when I was alone.

What do YOU hate most?

Failure. I hate failure. It makes me feel like a little ball of nothingness. I actively live in fear of failure. Which can make me a little....tense.

I hate feeling childish. In life plans change and when I set my hopes on something big and those plans change I want to cry and then I feel as though I'm being childish and throwing a fit. I HATE that about myself and I need to work on changing it.

BTW Ian, thanks for starting this thread. The timing was perfect for me to be able to vocalize this. The more I can talk about it, the more I can do something about it.

I HATE lying. It's the one thing I was ever spanked for as a kid, and it's a big deal to me today. I do everything I can to be as honest as possible. Finding out that someone has lied to me is the one thing that I consider unforgiveable.

Hate is such a strong word. Personally I do not hate, I have a simple outlook on life - I expect nothing because I feel it is due me, I merely except life for what it has to offer. I look at things as what is the positive side of it.

Now that's just my personal life, I'm sure most would hate all the disease, suffering and hunger in the world.

It's certainly polite to say so on all occasions. But I'm not sure that it's possible to really hate something that doesn't touch you personally. I think it's too bad that there's an outbreak of beriberi in Distantstan, but I hate X, a lawyer I once worked for who was three-fourths vampire.

Oh yes, back to the question.... :)

I'm with JoyJoyHollywood. Failure is the worst. Or more precisely, screwing up in non-trivial ways. Blows of fortune are one thing, and I can deal with them; but my own poor judgments drive me nertz.

Not living up to my capabilities. Being an underachiever really sucks.

I agree with you Lisa.. I don't use that word.. I dislike alot of things, but Hate is too much. I used it alot with an old friend and beleive it or not, she died of cancer.. yeah, yeah, yeah I know thats not why she died, but I felt it and I still feel bad..

I just dislike painful deaths.. I work in a Hospice inviornment and I try really hard to make them all as happy as I can in their last time.. does this make sense??

Hey, first post here.

What I hate the most is being surrounded by ignorance.

What sucks is that I get it from work and from home.

what i hate the most right now is ........my life as it has turned out.

yeah it sucks i married a girl i had a crush on in school who would have nothing to do with me but when i joined the army and came back home on leave i had lost a bunch of weight got muscles and i guess looked good to her finally. well needless to say we dated for a year got married and my life went down hill from there. we have been married 15 yrs and i have been bi since i was 13 but have always hid it and that has been hard not to mention she is controling, bitchy, opinionated, and the funny thing is she is all fat and out of shape now and un attractive to me so i guess the moral of this story is....be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.

For a long ass time now I have tried to divorce myself from my burning hatred in all it's manifestations. That said, I hate chemical mind control, drug laws, people who kill animals for fun and scenesters. Also, certified contractors who rip off the general public blind while violating as many safety and building codes as possible. And people who trash my planet :disgust:
OH, AND PARIS HILTON CAN GET REAMED BY A MECHANICAL BULL

I don't "hate" anything. But I DISLIKE emptying out my cat's litter tray every day. I also DISLIKE cleaning the grill pan... especially after its been there a while and someone's made cheese on toast. And lastly I SERIOUSLY DISLIKE going for STD tests... those who know me well will know just how careful I am ( ;) ), but it never stops me from worrying my ass of until I get the results.

We dislike cheating husbands, liars and those who blame others. All of the above are easy to find, true friends and real people are few and far between. No wonder we chat with so few people here.

In Alberta right now there's a 13 year old girl on trial for stabbing her younger brother. The girl's boyfriend stabbed the rest of her family to death. The two of them then ran off together and had sex. In jail she expressed no remorse but sent her boyfriend love notes. Earlier, on her blog, she had listed the things she really hated: "homophobia, sexism, racism, ageism".........it is to laugh!

My reply is definitely off topic--but I just had to provide my perspective on being alone--

I actually like to be alone--I very much enjoy my solitude--of course--I do like being with people--but then it is such a treat after being with lots ofpeople for a time to go off and just have some nice quiet time alone--

I guess I have always been this way--my mother told me a few years back that when I was in kindergarten---the people were concerned that I was perfectly content--and really seemed to prefer--playing alone as a very young child---that did sit too well with the people who were in charge of the kindergarten program because being alone is "not the way children are supposed to be" but then--I guess I have always had my contrarian side!!!!! LOL
