Hey everyone. I had a thought (not necessarily a pleasant one) when I read Drew's thread about being back.
What if this site suddently was "censored" or taken off the internet...
What would most people think?
would you revert back to other sites, try to get the site back online, would you be willing to put money into keeping it online? what would happen to your friendships, acquaintances, etc.??
not a nice thought for me but just wondering what everyone else felt??

I think it's something like 80-90% of things we worry about never happen....so personally, I try to avoid "what ifs".....
If it's presented as a very real possibility, then I"ll think about it.
Just my thoughts...

I have contact info in my profile on here, and people are free to email/IM me. I keep in contact that way with people who don't post here anymore or who rarely do since they're busy with life/family/etc, or they're not into posting here or they only go here to chat.
I'd be sad that it went away and if someone set up a fund to try to restore the site and pay for the domain to be open again and the board to be up and running again, I'd think about giving some money and probably would.
I do like how this place is a pretty much an exclusive bisexual site in that mostly everyone who posts here is bisexual. I'm all for inclusion but you don't get that at other gay/queer sites.

I think it's fine not to necessarily think about the "what if's" but in some ways, it is always better to be prepared. Now in this instance, the consequences would not be great probably (not like losing your job, house, family member, etc) but I guess it is something that could change my life so I felt it was worth considering, if only in an interesting "theoretical" way...

I agree with Diamond dog ..we have their contact info on file,so she/they can contact us via e-mail/IM's, as she's rarely on here anymore, with school, job,and such. However. IF this site was to need $ support.. sure,I'd be willing to kick in a few bucks,to help out. I'm always willing to help a friend.

Yeah, I'd help pay to keep it online if it was needed.
