Temp. leave of absence

My dearest family,

My internet supplier is pulling out from the contract they have here in my apartment complex. The change came as a surprise and as a result, we are asked to turn in our modems. I have the option to continue with thier services but have to set-up an appt. to have them come out and "hook-me-up" again.

The complex I live at is replacing thier Internet services with AT&T phone services and they have a DSL hook-up with phone service. I really don't need a home phone since I handle most of my calls via cell but I need to atleast listen to what they have to say and view my options.

With this said, I will probably be "out-of -touch" for the next week or so until I can figure out which route I want to go as far as cyber-services go. I will be down for a bit, but by no means are you to count me out...-Cody

P.S.- I thought about sending smoke signals out to all of you, but the last time I tried sending smoke signs, the blanket caught fire and the local "fire stompers" had to bail me out... :bigrin: :paw: :paw:

Well that was rude of them. You'll definitely be missed Cody. I hope they give you a better deal. Even if you don't use a home phone much it might be nice to have for nostalgic resons. lol Maybe even get a rotary dial and watch people try to use it. My nephew ran across one at his friends house and didn't know how use it.

I'm bringing a rotary phone back to college with me this year. :wiggle2: My parents own an antique store and they have probably two dozen just lying around. One won't be missed for eight or so months... :bigrin:

I too may be out of touch for a few days--when I cancelled my AOL service--I thought I had bought the modem from them---there was a not insigificant charge for the unit initially and of course I found out that part of what I was paying for was a monthly modem rental---I am going to Circuit City or Comp USA and buy a modem in the next few days---I will be returning the Time Warner modem to them tomorrow....

Hello to all my Bi-sexual family...I am back, but talk about timing...If any of you have watched the weather channel or the news in the last few weeks, my home town rarely gets any real news worthy attention. But about the time I left, mother Nature opened up a can of "whoop ass' on us. It has rained something ugly here and there were some pretty spooky scenes with floods and cars getting carried of and sink-holes and everything that goes with getting too much rain where it don't really rain much...but it looks like we are just about done with it (its been like this since the last week of July and came to a stop about four days ago)...Anyhow, Hope to get to posting real soon and says hi to new folks and old friends... :paw: :paw:
