Man, what would my countries traditional dancing be considered? Jazz, square dancing, line dancing, swing dancing, hip hop, or what? A lot of dance styles originated here. Same with music blue grass, country, rock, rap, American folk, and Jazz all originated here too. And people say the U.S. is devoid of culture.

Jobe, the people who say the US is devoid of style have never set foot on our soil. Home of rock and roll and many other styles of music and dance that went worldwide.. Moonwalk anyone?

Some here think America not devoid of culture but very second rate.. mostly they are snobs and have a sense of cultural superiority of which really they should be ashamed... the culture of the USA may often be brash and loud, but it is confident, fun and innovative and not at all stuck in the past in ways which old world culture often is. Culture moves on or it dies... the US it certainly moves on and evolves in ways which so few others do... being a relatively new country, most US culture has its roots in other cultures,.. those of the people who have made the US over the last few centuries. yet it is distinctively and assuredly its own. I don't like it all... country and western music and line dancing I loathe... just as I don't like all of the culture of my own country... bagpipes and scottish country dancing I loathe just as much probably more,.. all I say guys is keep it coming... I luff it so don't listen to the dopey and the snobby... ur ok guys and gals when it comes to culture... and even style darlin' darlin' I luff most of it... though just as I hate much we call style, u have ur fair share of grot an' all... *laffs*

I personally like country music but I don't like line dancing. I also like some bagpipe music from your own country. To each their own.

lol, gangnam style is a k pop song ( korea pop ) by a guy named psy and its definitely making a impact, its gained a guinness book record for the most liked song on you tube or something.... there is a place called gangnam in korea and the song is about the gangnam wannabes.....
to quote psy People who are actually from Gangnam never proclaim that they are — it’s only the posers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poser) and wannabes that put on these airs and say that they are "Gangnam Style" — so this song is actually poking fun at those kinds of people who are trying so hard to be something that they’re not.
The song talks about "the perfect girlfriend who knows when to be refined and when to get wild. The song's refrain "오빤 강남 스타일 (Oppan Gangnam style)" has been translated as "Big brother is Gangnam style", with Psy referring to himself; "Oppa" is a Korean expression used by females to refer to an older male friend or older brother.
what is very unusual is that psy ( male singer ) has not copyrighted the song and its gone viral with so many different versions
this is psy's 6th album and kim hyuna has been part of two of koreas top girl bands, yet most people have never heard of them....... so go psy and kim, you just put korean music in the spotlight...... and amused the hell outta the old farts like me...

Panache does not imply style? Is that a UK thing, or am I missing something?
Agreed about the girl!

U can be flamboyant and yet have no style, Annika.... there is one such very much to the fore in the news over here.. a knight of the realm no less... he is dead now which is probably just as well for him, but when alive, even if the allegations against him are disproved, he was a man of much panache... but no style whatsoever...
