I know this subject has been brought up before, but the one thing that really bothers me about this site: People that put ads in, without any text. All you get is the sex of the person, and if you are lucky, maybe a city location, and an age. Whats the point of even putting in an ad? I can understand that some people need to be discreet, they don't want any pictures of themselves, or any information that might give away their idenity...but if they don't give the basics...a brief description of themselves and a sentence or two of what they are looking for...you don't have a clue if this is someone you might be interested in. Anyone share my opinion?

Actually those aren't really personal ads - those are people who have registered to participate in the site, but don't want a personal ad at this time.

For people who are looking to meet others they can extend their profile into a personal ad by filling out the personal ad portion of their profile.

When a person has filled out the personal ad portion of their profile an icon appears beside their username on the site (either http://main.bisexual.com/forum/images/misc/has_ad.gif or http://main.bisexual.com/forum/images/misc/has_ad_with_pic.gif) to indicate that they have a personal ad. Folks who don't have those symbols beside their username have just the basic profile (age, location, etc) and no personal ad.

Further to my previous post...

When you use the Search Profiles (http://main.bisexual.com/index.php?do=search) feature, you are actually only searching the personal ads. Folks who have filled out a basic profile but no personal ad do not appear in the search results.

Edit: Just changed "Search Profiles" to "Search Personal Ads" on the main navbar.
