Truly beautiful, Darlin' darlin'.. but it does also show how many people miss an even more beautiful night sky due to light pollution.. I love looking at the night sky when we go up north with only the occasional passing car to mess up the sky... and watching the Northern Lights from the ground when there are no city lights to ruin the experience is one of the real wonders of that night sky..

A beautiful sight, but it reminds me what insignificant tiny beings we are. In the grand scope of things our little lives are smaller than an atom, that last less than a nanosecond. Still, there's time for us to love and someone to loves us, then our little lights are out. Remarkable!

Thanks for sharing that great video. Watching those sections in the video showing the storms down on the surface with their lightening flashes, in some other footage like this recorded over the years by the space shuttle where they would show lightening bolts shooting up into space from those really massive storm cells that can lead to bad tornadoes and such----some physicists are now postulating that in those circumstances--the effects of the storms are increased due to some interaction with our atmosphere and various "cosmic particles" and perhaps even by the so called "Dark Matter" that their theoretical models of the workings of the universe say must exist, even though we have yet to empircally prove its existence.
I don't quite understand all of that stuff--but if that is so--it would just go to show that our world is more connected, and we are as well, to things that happen far beyond the confines of our planet and our connection to such things is strong--and that we are not creatures somehow removed from all the processes of the universe as we seem to think we are.
