Hi y'all. I've been around for a little while and haven't really said very much. I just found out from my girlfriend's family that she lost the fight with cancer. Please keep her family and me in your prayers. Thank you.

My condolences to you Chapear. It's never easy to lose a loved one, and not being there makes it worse. So many people have already told you she is in a better place and no longer in pain, keep that in mind. It is a small consolation but one you can hold on too. Your memories of her will be something to treasure forever. Hold on to the happy times, and let them be your light in the darkness.

My deepest sympathy. I lost my wife, lover, and friend to cancer in 2000. I thought I would never find someone to fill the void. Three years later I met the most wonderful woman and I am happier now than I have ever been in my life. That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Good luck.
