I know its maybe "trivial" to post up something like this--but coming online a bit ago this story about actor Michael Douglas was on AOL news and entertainment: http://www.popeater.com/2010/09/20/michael-douglas-wall-street-2-premiere-cancer/?icid=main%7Caim%7Cdl2%7Csec1_lnk3%7C171871
He has long been one of my fave actors since he came into prominence doing "The Streets of San Francisco" many moons ago.
It always seemed to me that he has always focused on his career in acting and was never one to grab much of the spotlight that was put on him by the tabloid media for the fact that being who he is and who he married --especially later in life with Catherine Zeta-Jones being the celeb she had become, but also not much of a spotlight seeker--they set about to have a nice family life and that as much as anything was priority to them both even over their careers.
I always liked his dad too and it seems that even though Kirk is well into his 80s and has never been the same since his stroke 20 or so years ago---he is going to outlive his son.
I would say that it doesn't seem that Michael realistically has much time left unless some miracle happens.
Well--nothing meant by posting this other than to share a story on a kinda sad situation.
I am sure that Douglas' last days will be good ones, at least as good as they can be----being surrounded by his family and loved ones.
When it comes to those who attract tabloid media attention---is anyone else sick and tired of the likes of ones like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton??? If is was possible----wouldn't ya like to try to pound (at least in a figurative way)--some sense into both of those young ladies??
